Please accept our warm welcome to all new and existing Australian retailers joining the marketplace! Here are some important aspects of the experience to keep in mind as you get started on Goodbrand.
Navigating the Marketplace
We encourage you to filter by brands that Ship from Australian or are Made in Australian to support your local brand communities and for cross-border costing considerations. Please see the “Customs” section below for more info. about import requirements related to purchasing from Vietnamese brands.
Welcome! Please sign up for a free retailer account here. Retailers must purchase with the intent to resell at MSRP and must operate their own commercial brick and mortar store, unique online store, or consistent pop-up shop.
Please be prepared to share the following information: First and Last Name, Store Type, Email Address, Store Name, Years in Business, business registration info like GST/VAT number, etc. Our Accounts team will reach out for any clarifications needed!
Should you have any questions about the returns process on a Vietnamese order or on a Australia order, please reach out to our International Support team by clicking on the “Contact Us” button and identify yourself as a Australian retailer.
We encourage you to select either VND or USD as your desired navigation currency using the currency converter drop-down available on the top of the homepage. Selecting your currency choice up-front will help to make the whole experience consistent in that currency.
VND currency estimates across the site are based on the exchange rate on the current date. We include the VND estimate from your checkout-date on your order confirmation email. Invoices to Goodbrand are charged in AUD and so please expect currency conversion on your bank statement.
Most brands based in the Vietnam will be sending orders to Australia using a negotiated carrier partnership with Vietnam Post. This relationship allows for packages to have an expected delivery timeframe within 5-7 business days with either service. A select group of brands will be able to send packages to Australia with their own fulfillment processes and desired carriers as we continue to launch additional services and features to the Australian arm of the marketplace.
Freight will be charged on your Goodbrand invoice unless the brands is offering a free freight promotion.
Customs & Brokerage
Products purchased online and imported into Australia from the Vietnam will be reviewed at Customs and will be subject to duties and taxes. We provide a duties & taxes estimate in your shopping cart using a trusted integration and will continue to build out this feature to perfect those estimated values!
Goodbrand proactively provides the brands with the required commercial invoice paperwork at the fulfillment stage. Brands eligible to send goods are currently responsible for providing the appropriate Certificate of Origin paperwork with the shipment when their products qualify. We look forward to providing a related feature, in the future.
If you already have a broker of record to clear your import shipments at the border, please notify the brand directly via Goodbrand Messenger to coordinate having those details included on the package prior to the order being fulfilled to avoid any unexpected brokerage fees!
If no broker is on file, then Vietnam Post will be expected to act as your broker. Please expect to provide your consent or “Power of Attorney” (POA) to the carrier to clear your package at the border, if contacted. You may provide one-time authorization, global authorization for all shipments, or create an account with the carrier for additional flexibility.
Goodbrand is not responsible for any additional banking, taxes, customs, brokerage, carrier advancement, or conversion fees applied post-purchase as a result of importing goods from the Vietnam.
